Max Wetteland started making Surfblanks under licence to Surfblanks Australia in 1988 and has been producing quality surfboard blanks to the South African and international surfboard market since then.
The relationship goes back much further though. Back to when Max met Surfblanks founder, Midget Farrelly in 1964 at the inaugural World Surfing Championship at Manly Sydney where they both compete and Midget won.
Their collaboration over the last 25 year has resulted in consistently superior polyurethane surfboard blanks coming out of Surfblanks First Avenue Factory. Foam that sets the benchmark worldwide.
Travis Cooper manages the facility and is available via email: travis.surfblanks@gmail.com
Travis worked closely with Max and Midget and continues to follow their legacy of quality foam.
